Tom Wixo
Tom Wixo (b. 1991, Moorhead MN) is a Los Angeles based painter making work about losing sports teams, earnest country music, and everything else that somehow continues to give the most hope right as it's circling the drain. He earned his MFA in Painting & Drawing from the University of Tennessee, holds a BFA in Studio Art from Saint Cloud State University, and attended the Yale Norfolk Summer School of Music and Art in 2014. He is the recipient of an Ellen Battell Stoeckel Fellowship, a full fellowship to the Vermont Studio Center, a Joseph Delany Fellowship, and an artist residency at The Soap Factory.
